About Michel Telo

Brazilian sertanejo singer who had one of those rare moments where a song escapes its genre entirely — 'Ai Se Eu Te Pego' became a global earworm in 2011 and 2012, spreading through football celebrations and viral videos long before TikTok made that a normal thing. He'd been working the Brazilian country circuit for years before that, fronting the band Grupo Tradição, but the solo breakout was something else entirely. Since then he's stayed active in Brazil's sertanejo scene, hosting TV shows and putting out new music, even if nothing quite matched that one massive moment.
