Chiara Ferragni on oxygen after Peru trip

Chiara Ferragni ended her Peru trip in a hotel room with an oxygen mask after altitude sickness hit her hard on the last night in Cusco. She'd spent the day hiking Rainbow Mountain at over 5,000 meters, felt totally fine, bragged about it to her friends, ate pizza, and then her body basically stopped cooperating: heart racing, couldn't breathe properly, full panic mode. She recounts the whole thing in both Italian and English, laughing at herself for jinxing it the moment she said she felt great. Every hotel in Cusco apparently keeps oxygen tanks on hand for exactly this, and after about 10-15 minutes on the mask her friends came to check on her and she calmed down. She's fine now, but the smiley emoji on that oxygen tank photo says everything.
