How to Find Instagram Live Streams Happening Now
Instagram shows live broadcasts from accounts you already follow at the front of your Stories tray, marked with a LIVE ring. There is no global directory of who is live right now, Instagram deliberately does not provide one, so discovering lives from accounts you do not follow means checking profiles individually.
Where live broadcasts appear
Live broadcasts from accounts you follow appear at the start of the Stories row at the top of your feed, with a LIVE badge on the profile ring. Tapping the ring joins the broadcast.
You may also get a push notification, but only if you have notifications enabled for that account.
Why there is no 'who is live now' page
Instagram removed its global live directory years ago. The Explore tab occasionally surfaces live content, but it is algorithmic and not a comprehensive list.
Any site claiming to show everyone live on Instagram in real time is guessing. What can be done reliably is archiving broadcasts after the fact, which is what IGLiveStream does.
